The Bornean sun bear /Helarctos malayanus / honey bear / is the smallest of the world's eight bear species. Sun bears are omnivores , they feed primarily on termites, ants, larvae, honey and a large variety of fruits.

Somewhere over Greenland / Grönland
on our way from Frankfurt to Calgary, AB, Canada
Looking in the deepness of the eyes of this ageless Sadhu, I can perceive everuthing which has bewitched me of India, wisdom, sadness, life, death, richness, poverty, story, courage, tradition and the people. India is an ancient and strange place, difficult to understand and to know, but easy to love.
poi viene notte :-))))
THANK YOU for your time and your comments!
A lone Timber Wolf at the Calgary Zoo. It was a cool day and the snow was lightly falling too.

Darkening of a nice winter day, when the sky got vibrant colors and the light turned red and blue after the sun had gone below horizon. Taken in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.
The Sanctuary of Loreto preserves, according to an ancient tradition, proven today by the historical and archaeological research, the Nazareth home of Our Lady. The earthly dwelling of Mary in Nazareth was made up of two parts: a cave carved into the rock, still venerated in the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth.
the marble facing is the Loreto masterpiece. It preserves the humble house of Nazareth as the casket welcomes the pearl. By Julius II and designed by the great architect Donato Bramante, that in 1509 he readied the design was implemented under the direction of Andrea Sansovino (1513-27), Ranieri Nerucci and Antonio da Sangallo the Younger. Later they were placed in niches statues of Sibyls and the Prophets.

Does anyone know of any good sunrise spots in Southern California? I need some ideas!
I found this seagull perched on a post leading out to the rougher waters of the area surrounding Venice. There were boats by each home or building there because after all it is only one of two ways to navigate Venice. The other is by walking.

Any evening shot from Stanley Park looking at the skyline of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is one of my favourite places. I spent a lot of time in this area growing up.

"Dreaming in Mother Nature’s arms about the world we share
And how much we care
Free to be, in peace and harmony, what every nation wants
What we all can dream
Green dream for our planet and all of us who love it..."

Another beautiful morning at Many Glacier with the day's first light caressing The Garden Wall, Grinnell Point and Mt. Wilbur.
The winds were whistling this fine morning. Not often does one gets water droplets on their lens from a lake....but I did this dawn.
A few other sunrise shots from this favorite place in comments.
Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday!
A stormy monotone depiction of the highest mountains on the North American continent. Mt. Hunter on the left, King Denali on the right. As a peak freak viewing Denali was a priority and highlight of last summer's trip to Alaska. True nuff, all the other peaks bow to it's glory.
This was a rare view between the thick forests along the Petersville road. A tighter color version in comments.

Here's a dramatic sunset on teh Zanskar peaks, higher than 6000mt; in Ladakh, India, a remote place located a 3600mt over the Sea Level. I definitely love to travel the world and I think I will never stop until I can.
It's late afternoon and storm clouds are coming in, with a long drive back to Banff via the Icefields Parkway still ahead.
Thankfully the rain held off until I made it back to my warm and cosy hotel room!
A vote on this link will be well appreciated :-)
